CASEing the Catty Sunday Challenge #279

Hi everyone,

Every Sunday a new CASEing the Catty is released.  Some one chooses a card in one the current Stampin Up catalogues and people can copy it in some way.  You can change the stamps, or the colours, or the sentiments. However the layout of the card stays the same.

This is the card that was chosen to CASE.  It is in the Annual Catalogue on page 72 ©2020 Stampin' Up!®
Here is a sketch of the card to be CASEd.   This shows the important part that needs to remain the same on a CASEd card.
Here is my example.  I created this card using Beautiful Friendship Stamps Set found on page 115 in the Annual catalogue.  I loved the hydrangeas, they are my go to flower.  I also used the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch and the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.  However I made the dies narrower that normal. I used Tasteful Touches for the sentiment.  I also used Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.

When I finished this, I posted to the Facebook page.  However, I felt that it was still very bland.  So as usually I messaged my mum a photo.  She agreed but it was a bit late.  I had a little of the stamped hydrangea so I played with it.
The card above is what I came up with.  I think the Soft Sea Foam Designer Series Paper makes all the difference.  However I think this is last years Designer Paper Series.

Have you used Stampin Up products before. One of the reasons that I became a hobbyist was because I love the colour combos.  Stampin Up provides cardstock, ribbon, stamp pad, and matching designer series paper and sometimes matching glitz to enhance the cards.  If you are a bit pedantic with colour combinations Stampin Up is your friend. They certainly have my vote.

The current Annual Catalogue is available on this blog.  If you would like a Catalogue posted to you, it will cost $9-00.  That can be deducted from the next order.

If you live in Australia and you would like to place an order over $250-00 (before shipping) you will receive 10% in Stampin Up Rewards.  Click here to place your order.

If you like this blog, and like learning a little about our family traditions or our lives while I inform you about the makings of the cards or quilts that I make, can you indicate by following me, (on the right hand side). Blogging is something new and I am still trying to get a handle on it.
