Colour Creations Week 21 Fresh Freesia

Hi everyone, 

A group of Stampin Up Demonstrators and Hobbyists are working through each colour cuurently available in the catalogues. Fresh Freesia is this week’s colour.  

Fresh Freesia is a funny colour.  It is not a purple or a pink but something in between.  So what colour goes with it.  I searched Pinterest and found Blackberry Bliss.  It seems a bit dark.  However after spending some time putting this with that and that with this, the card below was created. 

I used Delightful Wishes Bundle.  I hope you like it.

Colour Creations Week 14 Calypso Coral

Hi everyone,

A group of Stampin Up Demonstrators and Hobbyists join in Colours Creations.  Each week we work through the colours, alphabetically, for the year.  Today is Calypso Coral.  Another shade of orange.  I’m not a fan of orange. 

I created this card using a new bundle from the Online Store, Impressions Abloom. I purchased this bundle purely for the oval border and cut out.  In the past I have bought many cards that have the cut out and silver or gold border around the oval.  Now I can make them myself.

Colour Creations Week 10 Blackberry Bliss

 Hi everyone,

A group of Stampin Up Demonstrators and Hobbyists join in Colours Creations.  Each we work through the colours, alphabetically, for the year.  Today is Blackberry Bliss.  This colour hs been around for a long time.  It must be a favourite among the Stampin Up community. 

I created this card using Fresh Freesia, Blackberry Bliss, Crushed Curry and Basic White Card stock.  I also used Old Olive and Blackberry Bliss Stampin Up Blends. With Crushed Curry Stampin Up Markers. I also used Coneflower Celebration Bundle, consisting of the stamp and matching dies. 

We buy stamps for different reasons.  I bought this stamp for the sentiment that is on this set. ‘I love that I’ve known you for so many birthdays.’  It is a great sentiment and a bit different from just ‘Happy Birthday’.

Colour Creations Week 44 Poppy Parade

 Hi everyone, 

This week’s Colour Creation is Poppy Parade.  It is a lovely bright yellow based red.  I personally wear this colour a lot.  I even have red glasses. 

Below is my example using Poppy Parade.  I created this card using Happy Hibiscus Stamp Set.  When I was a child we loved in Kadina SA.  Outside my bedroom was a bright red hibiscus.  Recently I saw photos were taken in front of it many years ago.  Whenever I see a hibiscus my mind takes me back to the site of this hibiscus outside the window.  

I used Old Olive, Poppy Parade, and Basic White card stock.  I teamed with a splash of black abd white ribbon.

Colour Creations Week 41 Pecan Pie

 Hi everyone, 

This week’s colour is Pecan Pie.  While I have been thinking about this colour for sometime, I found this quite difficult.  

I created this card using Pecan Pie as the base. I used More Than Autumn Stamp Set and Dies which can be found in stampinup.com.au under Bundled Savings. 

I used Petal Pink card-stock and Blenders and Basic White card-stock and Pecan Pie Blenders. I also used Exposed Brick Embossing Folder.

Colour Creations Week 40 Pebbled Path

Hi everyone,

This week’s colour is Pebbled Path.  This colour is definitely outside my comfort zone.  However I will have a go 

Below is my contribution to this week’s card.  I received the Floral Delight Suite a couple of days ago.  I was itching to use it.  Once again I had to think outside the square and come up with something quite different for me,

Card Sketch

 Hi everyone, 

Here is another card sketch.  This card sketch is on page 12 in January - April Mini Catalogue ©2025 Stampin‘ Up!®. 

I started playing with this sketch and kept playing and playing.   Sketches are a really good place to start. 

The designer series paper that I have used whilst playing with these cards, is free when you spent more than $100.

Colour Creations Week 39 Old Olive

 Hi everyone,

This week’s colour for Colour Creations is Old Olive.  This is an old favourite and has been around since  i started nearly 8 years ago.  I would say that Old Olive is a mid green and always a favourite for stems and leaves 

I tried to create something different.  I have several new stamps that I have not used.   I am slowly working through them. 

Today, I used Darling Dino’s Stamp Set and Dies.  It is a cute set that will be loved by little boys and girls.  It can be found in the January to April  Catalogue ©2025  Stampin‘ Up!® commencing on page 51. 

In my first card I created the background of a desert and blue sky.  Each dinosaur has been coloured in with olive green Blenders somewhere..  

This second card I used a retired designer series paper for the background and placed the dinosaurs in a forest.

Hi everyone, 

Claire Daly is the leader of a group called Art with Heart Group.  Each week there is a Colour Creations Blog Hop.  This group works through the current colours in Stampin Up.  I have chosen to join this group.

I have probably joined half way though because this week the colour is Misty Moonlight.  However the beginning of a new year is a good time to start something different. 

Recently I have been playing with card sketches that you will find in the current brochure, usually within the first few pages.  This sketch is found in the January - April Mini Catalogue ©2025 Stampin‘ Up!® on page 12. 

I created this card using Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper, Spotlight on Nature Dies and Eyelet 3D Embossing folder.  I found that the extra embossing took the plainness of the white away. 

Of course, when I am playing with something new, I have to change it slightly so the next one is horizontal and stepped up a bit, with another layer.  

So I chose a different page of designer series paper which included a different colour teamed with Misty Moonlight.

Mixed Florals Suite

Hi everyone. 

A new brochure and Online Exclusives will be released next week.  It is always exciting as we wait for the new releases.  As a Demonstrator, there is a period prior to these releases where we can purchase them and play with them before they are available to the public. 

Below are 2 cards made with Mixed Florals Suite which can be found at stampinup.com.au in the Online Store.  This suite is available from 7/1/2025.

The suite has a lovely spray of flowers which can be teamed with the Mixed Media Florals, which is part of the suite.  

I stamped the spray of flowers on Basic White and coloured them in using Stampin Blends.  I found that the white background was a bit stark against the rest, so I colours it in with Misty Moonlight.  It makes a big difference.  The same applies to the card below. I used Soft Sea Foam.  I hope the lucky recipient loved her special card.

Timeless Greetings Kit

Hi everyone, 

My husband and I have just returned from a cruise around Australia.  Rachel, from http://stampinpals.blogspot.com/, and her husband joined us in Perth.  Carol and Michael, friends of Rachel’s also joined us.  Rachel, Carol and I used to like sitting undercover but on deck 15 where the pools were.  We were out in the fresh air but undercover away from the hot sun. 

Kits are a great idea for any travelling.  They come in a box which contains everything to make those cards.  In the box you will find the card stock, stamps, if required, a stamp block, any cutouts and envelops. 

These kits can be found in stampinup.com.au under Kits.  

I made three cards on the ship.  However I plan to make more but looking outside the box and using more supplies.  So below are the cruise cards.  I made two ‘thankyou’ crds and gave them our cabin boy and one of the waiters.

More About Autumn

 Hi everyone, 

Do you like donuts?  Our daughter-in -law loves Lattes and her sons love donuts.  Does that count? I saw this set and thought that it is a bit of fun and I could use it a lot. 

This set is called More than Autumn Stamp Set and Dies.  It can be found September - December Mini Catalogue ©2024 Stampin‘ Up!® on page 49.  I also used the Summer Splash card stock, Little Latte Designer Series Paper which is found in the OnLine Store at stampinup.com.au and Stampin Blends.

Layers of Beauty

 Hi everyone, 

This Layers of Beauty Bundle is fantastic.  Have you worked with stencils before. I haven’t.

Full of Life

 Hi everyone,

Our daughter came over last weekend.  She needed some neutral cards for her collection of cards.  So C came over with several ideas.  However they went out the door when I showed her some that I was working on.  she saw the designer series paper and bingo!  She started. 

Most of them are using Full of  Life Designer Series Paper that can be found Annual Catalogue ©2024 Stampin‘ Up!® commencing on page 50.  There is also a card using retired designer series paper.
