Countryside Inn

 Hi everyone,

Here is another book binding card using Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper which can be found in the Annual Catalogue ©2024 Stampin‘ Up!® on page 109.

I cut the Australian A4 in half lengthwise.  This gives you a piece measuring 4 1/4” x 11 3/4”.  I folded it in half.  Then I scored 1 1/4” from the fold.   I cut two pieces of designer series paper, 1” x 3 7/8” and 3 3/4” x 3 7/8”.

With regards to the piece on the left side, which I have also attached some ribbon, I find that the Stampin Seal is very good and keeps the ribbon and card together.

Have you used Stampin Up products before. One of the reasons that I became a demonstrator/hobbyist was because I love the colour combos.  Stampin Up provides cardstock, ribbon, stamp pad, and matching designer series paper and sometimes matching glitz to enhance the cards.  If you are a bit pedantic with colour combinations Stampin Up is your friend. They certainly have my vote.

The current Annual Catalogue is available on this blog.

If you live in Australia and you would like to place an order over $250-00 (before shipping) you will

receive 10% in Stampin Up Rewards.  Or if you would like to place a smaller order please email me on leanne1982@netspace.net.au.

If you would like the current brochure, please email me on leanne1982@netspace.net.au.

If you like this blog, and like learning a little about our family traditions or our lives while I inform you about the makings of the cards or quilts that I make, can you indicate by following me, (on the right hand side).

Countryside Inn

 Hi everyone,

I attended a lunch several weeks ago. One of my ex work colleagues turned 60 during the prior week, so 6 of us went for lunch.  It was a lovely luncheon.  I met a new person.  I caught up with a woman who has also retired and moved out of Melbourne.  There were also others that I catch up with regularly.  We talked and laughed for several hours.  Someone looked at their watch and exclaimed ‘We need to leave, I have an appointment.’  So we all left.  Oh, we need to wait for another birthday to come around.   It was a lovely afternoon.

I made this card for the birthday girl.  She is touring Italy and other countries in several months.  I also enclosed some Euros for her to spend. This card was created using Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper which can be found in the Annual Catalogue ©2024 Stampin‘ Up!® on page 109.  This card is called a book binder card.  It is something different.  It is the first time that I placed some designer series paper on the envelope.  First time might become a habit.

The flowers and sentiment came from Sentimental Park Stamp Set that can be found on page 79.  The number are from a retired dies.

Sweet Songbird

Hi everyone,

These songbirds are just cuties. They were lovely to create while putting a spring in my step.  They are such happy cards. I love the book binder card as well.

I created the book binder card by cutting Australian A4 cardstock in half lengthwise.  This gives you a piece measuring 4 1/4” x 11 3/4”.  I folded it in half.  Then I scored 1 1/4” from the fold. I used Tea Boutique Designer Series Paper. This paper can be found in the Annual Catalogue page 12 ©2022 Stampin' Up!®    I cut one piece, 1” x 3 7/8” in the designer series paper and 4” x 3 7/8” in Basic White Cardsrock.

I made them using the new Sweet Songbirds Bundle which consists of  Sweet Songbirds Stamp and Songbird Builder Punch. The stamp can be found on page 31 and punch or bundle can be found on page152 in Annual Catalogue ©2022 Stampin' Up.  The stamp set and punch can be purchased individually during the coming year, there is a 10% discount if purchased together.
