Thoughtful Journey

 Hi everyone,

Here is another Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Card.  It is a simple card where the designer series paper does all the talking.  This particular sheet lends itself to Sympathy cards. However I also like bright cards too.

Have you used Stampin Up products before. One of the reasons that I became a demonstrator/hobbyist was because I love the colour combos.  Stampin Up provides cardstock, ribbon, stamp pad, and matching designer series paper and sometimes matching glitz to enhance the cards.  If you are a bit pedantic with colour combinations Stampin Up is your friend. They certainly have my vote.

The current Annual Catalogue is available on this blog.

If you live in Australia and you would like to place an order over $250-00 (before shipping) you will

receive 10% in Stampin Up Rewards.  Or if you would like to place a smaller order please email me on leanne1982@netspace.net.au.

If you would like the current brochure, please email me on leanne1982@netspace.net.au.

If you like this blog, and like learning a little about our family traditions or our lives while I inform you about the makings of the cards or quilts that I make, can you indicate by following me, (on the right hand side).

Thoughtful Journey

 Hi everyone,

Here is another card that showcases a beautiful range of designer series paper called Thoughtful Journey.  This can be found in the Annual Catalogue ©2024 Stampin‘ Up!® commencing on page 47.

This is a suite.  However, when I purchase the designer series paper, I did not think that I would use the stamp or dies.  Yes, well, guess what.  I have since purchased the stamps, dies and specialty paper.

This card was creating using several items, e.g. the Deckled Rectangles Dies which can be found in our Online Store The sentiment is found in Unbounded Love Stamp Set.  Both of these can be found on page 54.

Thoughtful Journey

 Hi everyone,

Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper is a beautiful collection of scenic paper.  This paper does not need very much to make a beautiful card.  This can be found in the Annual Catalogue ©2024 Stampin‘ Up!® commencing on page 47.  As there are a number of colours used in this designer series paper, there are many coloured card stock that will team with the designer series paper.

However, today, I used white card stock to highlight the designer series paper.  I added a white Elegant Border Dies cut which sadly is retired . This created an elegant card. The sentiment comes from Unbounded Love Stamp Set and can be found on page 54.

I don’t usually use Basic White very often as a card base.  I love colour and usually start with a colour as the base.  Anyway, this is a bit of a change.  I also used Unbounding Love Dies for the sentiment.  The dies using Lost Lagoon on the oval is going to be a new favourite, I think.

I started with a 8 1/4” x 5 1/2” card base and folded in half.  I then cut off 1 1/4” of the edge.  The top designer Series Paper is cut at 2 5/8” x 5 1/4”.  Side piece is 1 1/4” x 5 1/4”.  I cut the side piece a little wider so that it continues under the top card stock.

Thoughtful Journey

Hi everyone,

Below are several fairly simple cards that showcases a beautiful range of designer series paper called Thoughtful Journey.  This can be found in the Annual Catalogue ©2024 Stampin‘ Up!® commencing on page 47.  As there are a number of colours used in this designer series paper, there are many coloured card stock that will team with the designer series paper.  Below you will find several suggestions.

Card base 5 1/2” x 4 1/8”, folded in half. Cut at 1” past the middle fold.

DSP 5 1/4” x 3 7/8”.

Card stock   5 1/4” x 3/4”.   Emboss with your favourite embossing folder

Glue the small embossed piece to the card stock and slide the large DSP inside.  I did not butt it against the fold, but centred is over the card.  I placed a piece of white card stock inside and cut it 5 1/8” x 3 3/4”.  This is a little smaller, so it can’t seen from the front.

Place the sentiment on the front.   I used several sentiments.  ‘Sending Hugs’ is from Layering Leaves which can be found on page 77.  The other sentiments are from Unbounded Love which can be found on page 54.
