Card Sketch

Hi everyone,

Here is another card sketch.  This card sketch is on page 12 in January - April Mini Catalogue ©2025 Stampin‘ Up!®.

I started playing with this sketch and kept playing and playing.   Sketches are a really good place to start.

The designer series paper that I have used whilst playing with these cards, is free when you spent more than $100.

Have you used Stampin Up products before. One of the reasons that I became a demonstrator/hobbyist was because I love the colour combos.  Stampin Up provides cardstock, ribbon, stamp pad, and matching designer series paper and sometimes matching glitz to enhance the cards.  If you are a bit pedantic with colour combinations Stampin Up is your friend. They certainly have my vote.

The current Annual Catalogue is available on this blog.

If you live in Australia and you would like to place an order over $250-00 (before shipping) you will

receive 10% in Stampin Up Rewards.  Or if you would like to place a smaller order please email me on leanne1982@netspace.net.au.

Mixed Florals Suite

Hi everyone.

A new brochure and Online Exclusives will be released next week.  It is always exciting as we wait for the new releases.  As a Demonstrator, there is a period prior to these releases where we can purchase them and play with them before they are available to the public.

Below are 2 cards made with Mixed Florals Suite which can be found at stampinup.com.au in the Online Store.  This suite is available from 7/1/2025.

The suite has a lovely spray of flowers which can be teamed with the Mixed Media Florals, which is part of the suite.

I stamped the spray of flowers on Basic White and coloured them in using Stampin Blends.  I found that the white background was a bit stark against the rest, so I colours it in with Misty Moonlight.  It makes a big difference.  The same applies to the card below. I used Soft Sea Foam.  I hope the lucky recipient loved her special card.

Delightful Florals

Hi everyone,

Here is a cute little card that is easy to make.

I used a card base 5 1/2” x 8 1/4” and folded it in half.

The Delightful Florals Designer series Paper was cut at:

2 pieces 1/2” x 5 1/2”

1 piece 1 1/2” x 5  1/2”

Add a sentiment, a piece of ribbon and flower, bingo a simply card.

Lazy Days

Hi everyone,

When you see this card do you think of picture with a relative. I see my mum or grandma rocking in this chair watching the world go by.  As a child I lifted in a country town in South Australia.  My grandma lived up the road from us.   I would pass her place every day going to and from school or anywhere really.  Grandma also had fancy work hanging from her verandah.

This Lazy Days Stamp Set and Lazy Days Dies can be found in the Annual Catalogue ©2023 Stampin‘ Up!® on page 19.  You can purchase them together and receive 10% discount or separately as you wish.

Lazy Days creates a beautiful card, don’t you think.

Gorgeously Made

 Hi everyone,

The stamp set sat on my shelf for a number of weeks before I used it.  I scrolled through Pintrest, Google and even Facebook without much inspiration. I like bright colours.  However I felt these colours and cards were too bright, even for me, if that is possible.

It wasn’t until I went to my up-line’s monthly class where I found the inspiration to play with it. Thanks to Rachel it is one of my favourites.

This suite can be found in the Annual Catalogue ©2023 Stampin‘ Up!® on page 102.

Here is one of my cards.

Cheerful Daisies

Hi everyone,

Here is a bright card.  I love the colour yellow.  Yellow is cheery and bright colour.  I think it brightens up any day.  When I look out my kitchen I can see a yellow rose growing on the fence.  It is starting to bloom again.  All is right with the world, or at least in my world anyway. When giving flowers, I always give yellow roses which is a symbol of friendship.

This card was made using the Fresh as a Daisy Suite which can be found in the Annual Catalogue ©2023 Stampin‘ Up!® on page 110.

Gorgeously Made

Hi everyone,

We buy different stamp sets and dies for a number of reason.  I bought this one because our daughter liked it. I looked at it initially and thought the designer series paper was too bright, even for me.  I love bright things.

I purchased the Masterfully Made Suite and it sat on the shelf for a number of weeks until I even looked at it.  It wasn’t until I went to my up-line’s monthly class where I found the inspiration to play with it. Thanks to Rachel it is one of my favourites.

Hues of Happiness

Hi everyone,

Isn’t it fantastic that Stampin Up creates cardstock, stamp pads and designer series paper that go together.

This collection of cards is a case of “this goes with this, goes with that and some more.”

I often skype my mother who loves giving me ideas.  We both have this paper and she asked me what goes with what.  Well, this is one sheet of designer series paper which I layered, added ribbon and sentiments using different colours that will go with the same piece of paper.  It is amazing how different this cards are.

Pansy Petal DSP

Hi everyone,

The ipad has gremlins tonight.  It doesn’t matter how much I try to type change where I start typing from, it will not change.  So tonight’s post looks a little different.

These cards a really easy.  I commences with a layer of DSP, 3 5/8” x 5 3/8”.  I measured 3/4” from top left side and marked.  I measured from right bottom up 3/4” and marked.  I cut from one mark to the other, cutting off the top corner. The different DSP is the back and front of the sheets.  However, you can not just turn over the sheet and stick.  I needed to cut two layers, One with one side on top. Another with the other side on top.

For the white layer, just had 1/4” on top and side. E.g. 3 7/8” x 5 5/8”.  The card is half a Australian A4. E.g. 8 1/4” x 5 7/8”.

I used the Pansy Petal DSP which can be found in the Annual Catalogue 2021 - 2022 Catalogue page 160 ©2022 Stampin' Up!®   We have a new Annual Catalogue coming out in May 2022.  This DSP and others in the current catalogue will no longer be available.  Oh such a pity.  Pansies are one of my favourites.

As I found out, you also need to be aware of directional DSP.

In The Moment

 Hi everyone,

Below is a lovely new stamp in the new catalogue.  In The Moment Stamp Set can be found in January - June Mini Catalogue page 57 ©2022 Stampin' Up!®.

As you can see, in these cards a lady is reading on her bed with her dog cuddling up to her.  These ladies are looking after themselves and spending some quality time doing something that they love.  Both these ladies need a rest and support, even their dog is offering support and companionship.  In my profession, self-care is very important.  It is very important for the patient in hospital, staff members who become tired and stressed with their demanding jobs and even myself. I hope that these cards remind their recipients that doing something that they love is very important to their mental health and well being.

This second card, I stamped cups from Nothing Better Than Stamp Set which can be found in the Annual Catalogue page 87 ©2021/2022 Stampin' Up!®.
