Colour Creation Week 19 Daffodil Delight

Hi everyone,

A group of Stampin Up Demonstrators and Hobbyists created a group called Colours Creations.  Each week we work through the colours, alphabetically, for the year.  This week is Daffodil Delight.  This colour was an InColour several years ago.  Every 5 years or so, Stampin Up review their colours. During the last review, this colour was included in the regular colours.  It is such a cheerful colour, ready for spring.

My card is a fairly basic card.  I started off with Mixed Florals Stamp Set.  I wanted to colour the tulips in Daffodil Delight.  The rest fell into place a bit with Mum’s help.

Mum and I video chat every couple of nights. I usually make cards while talking to Mum. As I did with this card, I ask her, does this go with this, or that.  It was also the first time that I used Mixed Labels Stamp Set.

Have you used Stampin Up products before. One of the reasons that I became a demonstrator/hobbyist was because I love the colour combos.  Stampin Up provides cardstock, ribbon, stamp pad, and matching designer series paper and sometimes matching glitz to enhance the cards.  If you are a bit pedantic with colour combinations Stampin Up is your friend. They certainly have my vote.

The current Annual Catalogue is available on this blog.

If you live in Australia and you would like to place an order over $250-00 (before shipping) you will

receive 10% in Stampin Up Rewards.  Or if you would like to place a smaller order please email me on leanne1982@netspace.net.au.

If you would like the current brochure, please email me on leanne1982@netspace.net.au.

Colour Creation Week 18 Crushed Curry

 Hi everyone,

A group of Stampin Up Demonstrators and Hobbyists created a group called Colours Creations.  Each week we work through the colours, alphabetically, for the year.  This week is Crushed Curry.  This colour has been around for the entire time I have been part of Stampin Up.

I had this idea.  It took a couple of goes.

I used Beautiful Butterflies Bundle..  I embossed white butterflies all over the card stock.  I also embossed another with black butterflies.  I also embossed another butterfly on white card stock and coloured it will watercolour pencils. I finished it off with a sentiment from Wonderful Thoughts Stamp Set.

I prefer the white butterflies.

Colour Creation Week 15 Cherry Cobbler

 Hi everyone,

A group of the Art With Heart Team is hopping through the Stampin’ Up! Colours in alphabetical order and week 15 is all about Cherry Cobbler.   This is a rich dark red that is often used in christmas cards.

I wanted to try something different.  In my example I used Delightful Wishes Bundle. I noticed in a colour combination on Pinterest that Mambo Melon is a lighter share.  I tried the small flowers however was not happy. However the large flower turned out well.  I like the two dies on the flowers and leaves creating a different shade or depth.

Recently one of my friends asked that I leave the sentiment off my cards.  Certainly in recent weeks it has become the norm for there to be no room for a sentiment.  Once again, I created this card and thought where do I put the sentiment.  So no sentiment!

Colour Creations Week 13 Cajun Craze

 Hi everyone,

A group of Stampin Up Demonstrators and Hobbyists are working through each colour currently available in the catalogues. Cajun Craze is this week’s colour.  This is not one of my favourite colours.  In fact I don’t like orange, browns or greens much.

When I started thinking about this card, I discovered that I had card stock but no stamp pad.  Why would someone buy card stock without the stamp pad.  It seems a bit silly to me. I must rectify it soon.

I started with this first card below.  I played around with the colours.  I used Wild Wheat, Old Olive and Cajun Craze with Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper. I even found some ribbon to match. I have  left a sentiment off because I couldn’t work out what to put on it and how.  So it still bare.  However, I really like the card as it is.

This next one is using Layers of Beauty.  I used Calypso Coral and used a light layer up to the darkest layer.  3 layers in all.  The last layer looks pretty close to Cajun Craze, don’t you think.  I also used Soft Sea Foam for the leaves.  Once again, I am pretty pleased with this one too.

Colour Creations Week 10 Blackberry Bliss

 Hi everyone,

A group of Stampin Up Demonstrators and Hobbyists join in Colours Creations.  Each we work through the colours, alphabetically, for the year.  Today is Blackberry Bliss.  This colour hs been around for a long time.  It must be a favourite among the Stampin Up community.

I created this card using Fresh Freesia, Blackberry Bliss, Crushed Curry and Basic White Card stock.  I also used Old Olive and Blackberry Bliss Stampin Up Blends. With Crushed Curry Stampin Up Markers. I also used Coneflower Celebration Bundle, consisting of the stamp and matching dies.

We buy stamps for different reasons.  I bought this stamp for the sentiment that is on this set. ‘I love that I’ve known you for so many birthdays.’  It is a great sentiment and a bit different from just ‘Happy Birthday’.

Colour Creations Week 9 Berry Burst

 Hi Everyone,

A group of Stampin Up Demonstrators and Hobbyists join in Colours Creations.  Each we work through the colours, alphabetically, for the year.  Today is Berry Burst.  I have always loved this colour.

This is just something different.  I used Sunrise Sailing Bundle.  This bundle consists of an embossing folder, dies and stamps. They are so easy to use.

This bundle arrived during the last week.  I just had to use it.  Boats and water just talks to me.  I grew up in a country town close to the beach.  Our family spent most weekends down at the beach, usually skiing.  So I have fond memories of the beach.

Colour Creations Week 8 Basic Grey

 Hi everyone,

A group of demonstrators and hobbyists are currently working through the Stampin Up colours, alphabetically.  This week’s colour is Basic Grey.

I created this card using Happy Hibiscus Stamp Set and a retired stamp set Perennial Postage.

I had a hibiscus bush outside my bedroom window in my childhood home, as I was growing up. It seems that every hibiscus I place on a card is either dark pink or red.  Someone recently shared with me that she did not buy this because she has never been to Hawaii.  While I have done a lot of travelling, I have not visited Hawaii either.  I purchased this and use it regularly because of the happy memories I have concerning that bush.

Colour Creations Week 7 Balmy Blue

 Hi everyone,

A group of Stampin Up Demonstrators and Hobbyists join in Colours Creations.  Each we work through the colours, alphabetically, for the year.  Today is Balmy Blue.  This colour has been a permanent colour for a number of years.   A tried and true colour.

I created this card using One More Year Stamp Set.  It is a lovely but funny set.  While there is a funny cake stamp and bottle of wine either cheese and biscuits stomp, I used this dog, by far, the most. Recipients of this card always have a laugh.  Isn’t that what life is about when we get the a certain sge.

Colour Creations Week 6 Azure Afternoon

Hi everyone,

Azure Afternoon is Week 6 of Colour Creations.  Isn’t it a beautiful blue.

Each week a group of Stampin Up people, demonstrators or hobbyists, work through the colours alphabetically available for the year.  We have worked with the new In Colours for 2025-2027.  This is first for the alphabetical colours for this year.

I created this card which is simply and allows the flower to do the talking.

Have you used Stampin Up products before. Colour Creations Week 4, Strawberry Slush

 Hi everyone,

Week 4 In Colour Creations.  This week it is a 2025-2027 In Colour called Strawberry Slush.  I think it is a soft pink.

Here is my example. I used a flower from Thankful Garden.  This bundle includes stencils, dies and stamps.  I used Strawberry Slush.  Each level of stencils, I just the same colour and went a little darker. I also used Old Olive when colouring the leaves and stems. Strawberry Slush was also used with Blending Brushes.  These can be purchased in larger and small.  They are quire useful to have in your craft room.

I like this.  It like quite elegant.  There is no sentiment so it can be used for any circumstances.

Have you used Stampin Up products before. Colour Creations Week 3, Secret Sea

Hi everyone,

This week we are celebrating one of the new In Colours, Secret Sea.  I have seen it placed between Pretty Peacock and Navy. However, it looks like a very dry green blue.

Above is my first attempt.  I wanted to soften the colour. However, my best critic, Mum, suggested starting with the colour cardstock.  So below is my example for this week.

I used watercolour paper for the flowers, using water to draw the colour from the stamped image. I used a retired embossing folder, called Subtle and embossed the white layer.  However, it is barely seen. I also used Thankful Garden Stamp Set and fussy cut the flowers and leaves, using them individually. The 2025-2027 In Colour Flat Pearls just blended in fantastically.  Finishing it off, I used the sentiment from Beautiful Butterflies.

I am happy with this example.  I hope that you are too.

Colour Creations Week 42 Petal Pink

Hi everyone,

This is Week 42 and the colour is Petal Pink  Petal Pink is an soft orangey pink.  It is a really beautiful colour.

I have been asked by a friend to create some cards with christian verses.  This is my first.  I love the soft colour and the embossing over all three layers of card stock.  It is like God has embossed all layers of life togehter and put his unconditional love in the verse, surrounded with hibiscus.

I used Happy Hibiscus Stamps Set which can be found in stampinup.com.au Online Store.  Textured Note Dies was also used.  These will be released early next month.  I used  Eyelet 3D Embossing folder which can be found in the Annual Catalogue ©2024 Stampin‘ Up!® on page 129.

Colour Creations Week 41 Pecan Pie

 Hi everyone,

This week’s colour is Pecan Pie.  While I have been thinking about this colour for sometime, I found this quite difficult.

I created this card using Pecan Pie as the base. I used More Than Autumn Stamp Set and Dies which can be found in stampinup.com.au under Bundled Savings.

I used Petal Pink card-stock and Blenders and Basic White card-stock and Pecan Pie Blenders. I also used Exposed Brick Embossing Folder.

Have you used Stampin Up products before. Colour Creations Week 40 Pebbled Path

Hi everyone,

This week’s colour is Pebbled Path.  This colour is definitely outside my comfort zone.  However I will have a go

Below is my contribution to this week’s card.  I received the Floral Delight Suite a couple of days ago.  I was itching to use it.  Once again I had to think outside the square and come up with something quite different for me,

Floral Delight Suite can be January to April  Catalogue ©2025  Stampin‘ Up!® commencing on page  33.
