Colour Creations Instagram Hop Azure Afternoon

 Hi,

Our group of Stampin Up Demonstrators and Hobbyists, (Art of With Heart Team), are working through each colour currently available in the catalogues.  Azure Afternoon is this week’s colour.  Isn’t it a beautiful blue?

I love this Ready Set Go Stamp Set.  Once again it evokes more memories of my past.  

When I grew up we only had one tv.  Most of the time what we were watching depended on who had the controls.  My dad was an avid sport, racing car watcher.  Most weekends the tv was turned to any sport that was going.  If there was a car racing event, that was part of the mix.  These memories are fond ones now, maybe not so much at the time. 

Anyway, back to the card.  I teamed the Azure Afternoon with Daffodil Delight. I also used Sunset Coast Dies and the retired embossing folder, Subtle.  A little bit of blending brushes and voila, a pretty good card for someone in my family

Timeless Greetings Kit

Hi everyone, 

My husband and I have just returned from a cruise around Australia.  Rachel, from http://stampinpals.blogspot.com/, and her husband joined us in Perth.  Carol and Michael, friends of Rachel’s also joined us.  Rachel, Carol and I used to like sitting undercover but on deck 15 where the pools were.  We were out in the fresh air but undercover away from the hot sun. 

Kits are a great idea for any travelling.  They come in a box which contains everything to make those cards.  In the box you will find the card stock, stamps, if required, a stamp block, any cutouts and envelops. 

These kits can be found in stampinup.com.au under Kits.  

I made three cards on the ship.  However I plan to make more but looking outside the box and using more supplies.  So below are the cruise cards.  I made two ‘thankyou’ crds and gave them our cabin boy and one of the waiters.

Bistro Burger

Hi everyone, 

Do you love a burger?  There is lots of colour in this but made very easy with Stampin Blends. There is also some embossing.  I stepped it up by choosing Parakeet Party for a the card base but I could also choose Poppy Parade, Mango Melody or So Saffron.  You could also have just a black card base or give it another layer with another card layer.

Bistro Burger

 Hi everyone,

Who likes a burger?  I think this will be a popular amongst the boys and mens cards.   

I used Pecan Pie Blenders, light and dark for the bun, Mango Melody, retired, for cheese, Parakeet Party, retired, for the lettuce, Poppy Parade, for the tomato and Old Olive for the gerkin.  So Saffron, retired, was used for the chips.  I also used the brayer and Poppy Parade on the table cloth.

Take To The Sky

 Hi everyone, 

Who is taking to the sky?  Our daughter and her family are flying to Rockhampton this week.  However their plane is a bit more modern and more reliable than these planes were.  These planes might take several days and several refuelling stops to get to Rockhampton.   However, think of the lovely sites that you would see along the way.  You would be closer to the ground. 

This is called an Easel Card.  I created this card using ‘Take to the Sky Suite’ which is found in the Annual Catalogue ©2024 Stampin‘ Up!® commencing on page 38. 

I started with card stock measuring 11” x 4 1/8”, fold in half and use the bone thingy to make a crisp fold. Fold the front half in half again.  Cut another piece of card stock, 5 1/2” x 4 1/8”.  The DSP is cut 1/4” smaller, (5 1/4” x 3 7/8”).  You can use any round punch or dies.  I used Deckled Circles Dies which can be found in our Online Store. ‘Happy Birthday’ and ‘Celebrate’ are found in the Wanted To say Dies which is found on page 85.

Reach For The Stars

Here is another Reach For The Stars.  It will be gone, gone, gone at the end of the month. 

It is such a useful stamp, dies and designer series paper in our house.  Our grandson are getting older sp anything galaxy is just right,  Also our son and son-in-law like Star Wars.

Reach For The Stars

Here are a couple of Reach For The Stars cards.  Reach For The Stars Stamps and Dies will not be available after the end of this month.  Such a pity. 

I used these cards using Starry Sky Card Stock.  This colour was one of the In Colours 2022-2024.  The Starry Sky Card Stock, Ink Pad, Refill and Blends will be discontinued at the end of this month.  All five colours for 2022-2024 In colours will be discontinued.

Earthen Elegance Suite

 Hi everyone, 

You need to get in quick for this one.  I tend to buy the cool colours in most things, clothes, designer series paper etc.  However I purchased this because I send a number of cards to people who prefer the warmer colours.  I found that this suite is also suitable for the male members of the families. 

The Earthen Elegance Suite will retire at the end of this month.  This suite is found in the Annual Catalogue ©2023  Stampin‘ Up!® on page 70.   However Earthen Textures Stamps and Dies will be available separately.  Earthen Elegance Designer Series Paper will also retire at the end of this month.  

This Earthen Elegance Designer Series Paper is now available for $10:87, here in Australia, until sold out or the end of this month.

Trucking Along

 Hi everyone, 

This is my last one using this stamp set and punch for now.  Sometimes it is really nice to just stamp. 

This stamp set is called Trucking Along.  It can be found in the Online Store on stampinup.com.au. There is also a punch called Trucking Along Builder Punch.  Once again it can be found in the Online Store.   I used Mossy Meadows and Poppy Parade to brighten this card up.

I have still have the male theme going here.  I seemed to have gone mad on male cards lately.  I’ve had this stamp and punch for a while.  I could not find much for inspiration.  Sometimes I just need to have a go.

This card was created using the Trusty Tools Bundle which includes the Trusty Tools Stamps and Trusty Tools Dies.  These can be found in the January to April Catalogue ©2024 Stampin‘ Up!® on page 56.  I also used the Trusty Toolbox Designer Series Paper which available if you purchase $90 or more. All of the tools on this card were fussy cut out from the designer series paper.  You could purchase the Trusty Tool Bundle for $96.25 and the designer series paper is free.  Something worth while thinking about.

Rock Star

Hi everyone, 

It is not often that I have a really good idea or that I am happy with an idea.   However this one blew me away.  I am really happy with it. 

This card below is created using the Rock Star Bundle which is part of the Rock and Roll Suite and can be found in the January to April Catalogue ©2024 Stampin‘ Up!® on page 55. 

As you can see in the picture above, there is a large pic die.  I used that to cut the layers of the top out.  I stamped the sentiment on the white card stock inside the card.  Mum and I made several cards like this using other stamps and dies.

Trucking Along

Hi everyone, 

Here is a great male card.  I’ve had this stamp and punch for some weeks. I realised yesterday when I prepared the birthday cards for the month that I was running low on male cards.  Well I started to looking for these cards.  I like to make three different one when I make new cards.  

Here is the first one.  This stamp set is called Trucking Along.  It can be found in the Online Store on stampinup.com.au. There is also a punch called  Trucking Along Builder Punch.  Once again  it can be found in the Online Store. 

I used a retired designer aeries paper in Misty Moonlight.  I used one of the Deckled Circle Dies that can also be found in the Online store.  Blenders were also used.

Brewed For You

Hi Everyone, 

If you have been following me here, on Facebook and Instagram, you might have gathered that I love these Z Fold cards.  I made a template, or Jig as my husband calls his wookworking patterns.  So these cards are really easy.

I created this card using a fun fold called Z fold. 

Cut cardstock at 4 1/4” x 11”.  Score at 5 1/2” and 8 1/4”.

Cut  cardstock 1 1/4” x 11”. Score at 5 1/2” and 8 1/4”.

Cut Designer Series Paper 2 1/2” x 3 7/8”, 5 1/4” x 3 7/8”, 2 1/2” x 1” and 5 1/4” x 1”

Cut White cardstock 5 1/4” x 1” and 2 1/2” x 1”.

It’s A Science

Hi everyone, 

This card brings back memories of my science classes in High School.  All of those bubbles that overflowed.  It also reminds me of the Portion Class in Harry Potter.  Anyway, it is a stamp set that I just needed to buy.  It will get used many times in this house.

Construction Zone

 Hi everyone, 

It is always great to have a couple of male or little kids cards on hand. After all, we have three grandsons.  This Construction Zone Stamp Set fits the bill.  Mum and I had a great time plying with this set.  Below is one the cards that was inspired by Pinterest.

Stargazing Suite

Hi everyone, 

This Stargazing Suite just gets better and better.  This suite can be found in the Annual Catalogue ©2023 Stampin‘ Up!® on page 86 and 87. 

The above card is a Twisted Easel Card.  This was our first attempt. 

 Cardstock: 8 1/4” x 4 1/8”   Fold in half.  On one side fold diagonal from top fold side to opposite bottom 

Designer Series Paper:  cut 2  3 7/8” squares. Place one on the square of card. Cut the other square in half on diagonal. Glue this half to the half that is folded down. 

We embossed the spaceship on white cardstock with black embossing powder.  The happy birthday is a retired punch and stamp. I have a number stamped and/or punched which I used regularly.

The above Mum and I decided to step it up. This is a book binder card. 

Cardstock is half am A4 sheet.  11 3/4” x 4 1/8”.   Fold in half.  Score 1 5/8” from middle score line. Glue this section together.  Fold diagonally from this top score line to bottom corner. 

Designer Series Paper: Star section is 1 3/8. X 3 7/8”. Once again cut 2  3 7/8” squares. Place one on the square of card. Cut the other square in half on diagonal. Glue this half to the half that is folded down. 

Similar to the first card, we embossed the spaceship on white cardstock with black embossing powder.  The happy birthday is a retired punch and stamp. I have a number stamped and/or punched which I used regularly.

One of the reasons that I became a demonstrator/hobbyist was because I love the colour combos.  Stampin Up provides cardstock, ribbon, stamp pad, and matching designer series paper and sometimes matching glitz to enhance the cards.  If you are a bit pedantic with colour combinations Stampin Up is your friend. They certainly have my vote.
