Colour Creations Week 41 Pecan Pie

 Hi everyone,

This week’s colour is Pecan Pie.  While I have been thinking about this colour for sometime, I found this quite difficult.

I created this card using Pecan Pie as the base. I used More Than Autumn Stamp Set and Dies which can be found in stampinup.com.au under Bundled Savings.

I used Petal Pink card-stock and Blenders and Basic White card-stock and Pecan Pie Blenders. I also used Exposed Brick Embossing Folder.

Have you used Stampin Up products before. One of the reasons that I became a demonstrator/hobbyist was because I love the colour combos.  Stampin Up provides cardstock, ribbon, stamp pad, and matching designer series paper and sometimes matching glitz to enhance the cards.  If you are a bit pedantic with colour combinations Stampin Up is your friend. They certainly have my vote.

The current Annual Catalogue is available on this blog.

If you live in Australia and you would like to place an order over $250-00 (before shipping) you will

receive 10% in Stampin Up Rewards.  Or if you would like to place a smaller order please email me on leanne1982@netspace.net.au.

Colour Creations Week 39 Old Olive

 Hi everyone,

This week’s colour for Colour Creations is Old Olive.  This is an old favourite and has been around since  i started nearly 8 years ago.  I would say that Old Olive is a mid green and always a favourite for stems and leaves

I tried to create something different.  I have several new stamps that I have not used.   I am slowly working through them.

Today, I used Darling Dino’s Stamp Set and Dies.  It is a cute set that will be loved by little boys and girls.  It can be found in the January to April  Catalogue ©2025  Stampin‘ Up!® commencing on page 51.

In my first card I created the background of a desert and blue sky.  Each dinosaur has been coloured in with olive green Blenders somewhere..

This second card I used a retired designer series paper for the background and placed the dinosaurs in a forest.

Beside Me

Hi everyone,

Here is another stamp from a freebie set. If you purchase $90 here in Australia, this is free until the end of February. However it is also in the Annual Catalogue ©2023 Stampin‘ Up!® on page 89, if you miss out.
This stamp set is called Beside Me.

This one creates memories on many levels.  I don’t remember Mum or Dad helping me when I was learning to ride a bike.  That was many, many years ago. However I am sure they did.  However I remember my husband and I holding the backs of bikes when our kids were learning to ride bikes.  In those days there were not training wheels to help the rider.   I can also remember watching our son and daughter while teaching their kids to ride.  However today there are training wheels and balance bikes now.

While creating this card I used Copper Clay card stock, matching designer series paper and a variety of Blenders.

Cradled in Love

Hi everyone,

Here is a free stamp that can be obtained this month only.  This is called Cradled In Love.  It is part of the Sale-a-bration until the end of the month. If you purchase $90 worth of products you can obtain this one for free as well others.  If you purchase $180 worth of products there is also more items.

While I do not know of many babies arriving, I always like to have several baby cards available.  This was a great chance to make several more.

I created these cards using the Scalloped Contours Dies found in Annual Catalogue ©2023 Stampin‘ Up!® on page 166.

I used Boho In Colour Designer Series Paper for the first card.  I also used Night of Navy, Crumb Cake and Daffodil Delight to Blenders to colour in.

I used Magenta Madness cardstock for the second card.

Have you used Stampin Up products before. Here is another freebie.  If you purchase $90 here in Australia, this is free until the end of February. However it is also in the Annual Catalogue ©2023 Stampin‘ Up!® on page 89, if you miss out.

This stamp set is called Beside Me.  This particular stamp reminds me of our many fishing expeditions while visiting Port Lincoln SA, during our Christmas holidays as a child.  I remember my two brothers and I would sit on the jetty fishing.  I don’t know that we caught much fish but they are good memories.

I thought I used a current DSP however it seems that it is now retired. However it is Starry Sky In Colour from last year.  I used Blenders, Lemon Lolly, Granny Apply Green, Starry Sky, Pool Party, and Pecan Pie,

Beach Day Bundle

Hi everyone,

It is Summer here in Melbourne, or suppose to be anyway.

I grew up in a country town not far from the beach.  As a family, Mum, Dad, my brothers and I would spend many weekends at the beach water skiing. I have many, many fond memories on those earlier years.  Even for my birthday this month, I suggested to the family that we have a day at the Williamstown Beach with fish and chips for lunch. Hopefully the weather will be kind and warm enough for us to venture into the water.  I have water guns permanently in the car boot.  They will come out and we will have lots of fun.

These memories were the inspiration for this card using Beach Day Bundle.  Beach Day can be found in the January to April Catalogue ©2024 Stampin‘ Up!® on page 58

Rock Star

Hi everyone,

We have a musician in the family.  Our son learnt how to play a guitar. However over the years he has taught himself to play the drums, ukulele, trumpet and probably more.   Now he has a family of his own.  He is also a music teacher at a secondary school.  Anyway any musical stamp set is a must in this house.

Rock Star Bundle is part of the Rock and Roll Suite and can be found in the January to April Catalogue ©2024 Stampin‘ Up!® on page 55.

On to Adventure

 Hi everyone,

Do you make Anniversary cards?  I have a list of cards required for family, friends and my church community.  I make at least 25 Anniversary cards a year.  I usually choose a card and make enough for the year.   I find it easier to make them in bulk.

Well I have posted the first one for the year.  This card was inspired by the couple receiving it.  John and Gina will be married for 49 years this month.  Congratulations to them.  They are now retired and love their travelling. .

Stampin Up stamp set, On the adventure, came from a catalogue in late 2019.  While I need to cull some stamps, I have not done it yet.  However this one I will keep.  When I made this card and sent a photo to my mum, her comment was, “I love it.  They will have a laugh when they get.”

I will probably send this card to others our age, but I will need to come up with something different for the younger couples.  I have until the end of the month.

Joy of Christmas Suite

Hi everyone,

It is December.  Christmas cards are about to be posted, I hope. There are usually Christmas cards leftover from previous years.  So while I send out approximately 100 cards each year, I usually make lots more during the year.  Some are created from retired designer series paper and retired stamps while I try to make some new stamps, dies and designer series paper.

Mum has gone home now.  We cruised around New Zealand late November together. So in the last 5 months we have many cards.  However I looked and this designer series paper and stamps and thought ‘ Oooooo, we need to create a couple of these, so Mum can make them and take them home.’  In the last couple of weeks, things became frantic, trying to fit everything in before we went on the cruise.

These two cards were made using the Joy of Christmas Suite from the Mini Catalogue, September - December ©2023 Stampin‘ Up!® on page 28.  A little bit of designer series paper, a little bit of stamping and colouring in, and a little bit of dies.  Bingo, a lovely simple card.

Hand Penned Suite

Hi everyone,

Sometimes it is great to being out favourites that have not been used for awhile.  I have used Hand Penned Stamp Set which is found in the Annual Catalogue page 105 ©2022 Stampin' Up!®  I have coloured the main flower in the set and cut it out with the Penned Flowers Dies.  The Hand Penned Stap .set and Penned Flowers Dies can be purchased together for 10% less, that buying them separate.

I have teamed it with the Scalloped and Contour Dies which is also found in the Annual Catalogue page 158 ©2022 Stampin' Up!®. I find it difficult to use shades of orange so this one is a bit out of my comfort zone.  Ihope you like these colours together.

Awesome Otters

Hi everyone,

It is still January and Sale-a-bration is still current.  Awesome Otters is a free stamp available if you buy $90 of Stampin Up products. This can be found I. The Sale-a-bration Catalogue page 11 ©2022 Stampin' Up!

I found this first layout on Pintrest.  Thanks to Mandy Witherby at https://mandyspapercraftcreations.blogspot.com/2021/12/awesome-otters-free-sale-bration-stamp.html?fbclid=IwAR1tgN5qBzAzR5NNRLGOiTCIKHBlgqmSNKWxo1LYWg6H7jqnDAXNjC36hjc for this suggestion.

I tried similar colours but the first combination was not the best. Hence the second one, which was much better and stepped up a bit more.

In The Moment

 Hi everyone,

Below is a lovely new stamp in the new catalogue.  In The Moment Stamp Set can be found in January - June Mini Catalogue page 57 ©2022 Stampin' Up!®.

As you can see, in these cards a lady is reading on her bed with her dog cuddling up to her.  These ladies are looking after themselves and spending some quality time doing something that they love.  Both these ladies need a rest and support, even their dog is offering support and companionship.  In my profession, self-care is very important.  It is very important for the patient in hospital, staff members who become tired and stressed with their demanding jobs and even myself. I hope that these cards remind their recipients that doing something that they love is very important to their mental health and well being.

This second card, I stamped cups from Nothing Better Than Stamp Set which can be found in the Annual Catalogue page 87 ©2021/2022 Stampin' Up!®.

Royal Peacock Bundle

Hi everyone,

My mum recently turned 91.  She makes cards herself.  So I wanted to challenge myself and try something different for her.

This is called a Diamond Fold Card.

I love the new Designer Series Paper in the Nobel Peacock Suite.  Blueberry Bushel, Old Olive and Pretty Peacock. The colours are fantastic and I love the patterned papers with matching foil sheets.
I used Whisper White Card stock with Blueberry DSP and Old Olive and Blueberry Foil Sheets. I also used Old Olive, Pretty Peacock Blender Pens and Gold Embossing Power for this card.  I am really happy with it.

Mum was also very happy with it.  As expected she asked me to give her a copy of the pattern.

Here is the instructions:

Commence with 11” x 5 1/2” Whisper White Card stock.
Score at 2 3/4”, 5 1/2” and 8 1/4”.
Make 2 3/4 “ point at both short ends.
Cut diagonally between 2 3/4” point and 2 3/4” score point. Do this on both sides and both ends.
Cut 3 3/8” square, (green). Cut 2.
Cut  3 5/8” square, (blue). Cut 2.
Cut 5 1/2” x 2 1/2” Whisper White
Cut 2 1/2” square then cut diagonally. (Patterned blue).

I saw something similar to this on Pintrest.  However I find most of the the patterns used slightly different Card stock to us in Australia.  So recently I have be converting them to Australian measurements.

These products can be purchased from Stampin Up. If you would
like to place an order over $250-00 (before shipping) you will
receive 10% in Stampin Up Rewards.  Click here to place your order.

Blessings
