Scalloped Contours Dies and Colour and Contour Stamp Set

Hi everyone, 

The Scallop Contours Dies and Colour and Contour Stamp Set are such a versatile combination.  You can make a fairly simple in no time at all.  You can find the Contour Stamp Set in the Annual Brochure ©2022 Stampin' Up!® on page 97 and Scalloped Contours Dies are on page 174. 

 This card is a great sketch that looks great with any cardstock and designer series paper. As you see, I made several cards using different designer series paper.

Have you used Stampin Up products before. One of the reasons that I became a demonstrator/hobbyist was because I love the colour combos.  Stampin Up provides cardstock, ribbon, stamp pad, and matching designer series paper and sometimes matching glitz to enhance the cards.  If you are a bit pedantic with colour combinations Stampin Up is your friend. They certainly have my vote.

Hues of Happines Suite

Hi everyone, 

This is one of those cards that Mum says, "how about this one?"   It is good, considering lately I have lacked inspiration.  Mum has purchased this designer series paper and looking forward to working with it when she goes home. 

Hues of Happiness Suite can be found in Annual Catalogue Page 108  ©2022 Stampin' Up!®. This is a wonderful suite. There are printed sheets of flowers and leaves amongst the designer series paper, which can be cut out with the dies,  The flowers and leaves below are some of those. As you can see from these two cards, the flowers come in different colours.

I also used then Scalloped Contour Dies.  I love these dies and use them lots.

What’s cooking

Hi everyone, 

Sometime it is nice to pull out a retired stamp set and designer series paper and play with old favourites.  This is one of those times. 

This card was created using What’s Cooking Stamp Set, Ice cream Corner Designer Series Paper and Scallop Contour Dies.

Hand Penned Suite

Hi everyone, 

Sometimes it is great to being out favourites that have not been used for awhile.  I have used Hand Penned Stamp Set which is found in the Annual Catalogue page 105 ©2022 Stampin' Up!®  I have coloured the main flower in the set and cut it out with the Penned Flowers Dies.  The Hand Penned Stap .set and Penned Flowers Dies can be purchased together for 10% less, that buying them separate.  

I have teamed it with the Scalloped and Contour Dies which is also found in the Annual Catalogue page 158 ©2022 Stampin' Up!®. I find it difficult to use shades of orange so this one is a bit out of my comfort zone.  Ihope you like these colours together.

Scalloped Contour Dies

Hi everyone, 

Mum came from Adelaide for 2 months in late June.  Due to Covid Lockdowns she stayed for 5 months.    Mum only left on Friday. 

We had such fun, sitting around the craft table.  She shared many of her childhood memories that I have not heard before.  This time is priceless.  She and I walked the dog most days.  While we have only a little hill around the block, Mum disliked it by the time she left. 

Mum and I made many, many cards.  She went home with 4 large ziplock bags full of cards.  Not everything fitted in her case.  Oh well, another trip for me. 

Below is one of those cards that Mum said to me, ‘I would like to do this one, can you help me.  Have I got the dies.’  Mum bought the dies while she was here.  They were waiting for her when she arrived home. 

When I make something like this, I usually start with retired DSP and make at least one in current DSP.  While we made some early in Mum’s stay, she posted them to friends and family.  So she asked to make more recently.  So we both have a collection of them.  Below are some of my collection. 

I commenced with 5 7/8” x 8 1/4”  Cardstock, (White, Poppy Parade, Blackberry Bliss or Highland Heather).  Score it at 4 1/8”. Fold in half.

Glue and place a piece of DSP 5 5/8” x 3 7/8” onto front of cardstock.  DO NOT GLUE IN THE CENTRE OF CARD, ONLY AROUND THE SIDES. 

Collect no 3 dies from Scalloped Contour Dies.  Centre on the front of the card. Place through embossing machine. You will have two cut pieces, cardstock and DSP. Discard the DSP for another card.  

Basic White Cardstock: 5 5/8” x 7 .  Score at 3 7/8”.  One 3 7/8” fold in half again. 

Glue and place the white into card. Unfolded 3 7/8” inside card with scored edge and extra fold on the right of the card. (See second photo.)

Prepare the white scalloped die cut piece. You might like to stamp a flower, or place fussy cut flowers.  Add your selected sentiment. 

Here comes the tricky bit.  Place the folded white Cardstock into card and close card.  You will have a hole where the dies was cut, at the white showing through.  Glue on the right hand side, (the folded side) ONLY.  Then place the white back in the die cut area.  It should fit perfectly.

Hand Penned Suite

Hi everyone,

I played with the Hand Penned Suite recently.  It is such a sweet combination. I created some cards prior to these where I used the Scalloped Contours Dies.  I don’t like to waste anything.  So this card was created using the outside piece.  I placed one of the flowers from Hand Penned Petals Stamp Set and Penned Flower Dies. 

This suite can be found on Annual Catalogue page 104 ©2020 Stampin' Up!®.  You can buy them individually, stamps and dies together or the suite as a whole.  If you buy the stamps and depies togehter or the suite you will receive a discount.
