Stampin Up Craft A Long

Hi everyone,

Last week, Stampin Up had a Craft A Long where a number of demonstrators and hobbyists created the same cards using different designer series paper but the same measurements.   We tried new techniques, some I liked, some I didn’t.  That’s okay though.

On page 42 in the new Mini Catalogue, as pictured above, we chose a 12” x 12” sheet of designer series paper.  We were given measurements on Zoom.  We followed along and created the same cards using the sheets that we chose.  I chose ‘Trimming the Town’ Designer Series Paper.

So below are the cards that I made.  I actually liked this process.  It enable me to chose a sheet that I had no idea what to do with it.  I have a number of 12” x 12” available where I will do this again.

Have you used Stampin Up products before. One of the reasons that I became a demonstrator/hobbyist was because I love the colour combos.  Stampin Up provides cardstock, ribbon, stamp pad, and matching designer series paper and sometimes matching glitz to enhance the cards.  If you are a bit pedantic with colour combinations Stampin Up is your friend. They certainly have my vote.

The current Annual Catalogue is available on this blog.

If you live in Australia and you would like to place an order over $250-00 (before shipping) you will

receive 10% in Stampin Up Rewards.  Or if you would like to place a smaller order please email me on leanne1982@netspace.net.au.

If you would like the current brochure, please email me on leanne1982@netspace.net.au.

Colour Creations Week 39 Old Olive

 Hi everyone,

This week’s colour for Colour Creations is Old Olive.  This is an old favourite and has been around since  i started nearly 8 years ago.  I would say that Old Olive is a mid green and always a favourite for stems and leaves

I tried to create something different.  I have several new stamps that I have not used.   I am slowly working through them.

Today, I used Darling Dino’s Stamp Set and Dies.  It is a cute set that will be loved by little boys and girls.  It can be found in the January to April  Catalogue ©2025  Stampin‘ Up!® commencing on page 51.

In my first card I created the background of a desert and blue sky.  Each dinosaur has been coloured in with olive green Blenders somewhere..

This second card I used a retired designer series paper for the background and placed the dinosaurs in a forest.

Have you used Stampin Up products before. However I have enjoyed working outside the square and using different colours.  So I might continue with the sequence of colours.

This week was going to be Mossy Meadows, a dark green.

As you can see I am a little organised and make this card.  I used Take to The Sky Suite which cn be found in the Annual Catalogue ©2024 Stampin‘ Up!® commencing on page 37. The oval was cut using a retired punch.

Coffee With Friends

Hi everyone,

Today’s card is another card using Bloom Impressions Designer Series Paper from the current Sale-a-bration Catalogue.  When you purchase more than $100AUD, you can choose a free item.  Hey, it is always good to get something free, isn’t it.

I created this using Coffee with Friends Stamp Set which can be found in the Annual Catalogue ©2024 Stampin‘ Up!® on page 93.  I also coloured it in with Blends.

Seaso of Green and Gold Suite

 Hi everyone,

Christmas is over for another year.

Each Christmas I have a container of cards that I make during the year.  Usually after I have posted my cards out I get inspired to make more.   I find the stress is no longer there.  I have more time and it prolongs Christmas.  You see I love Christmas.  I love giving and seeing the joy of people receiving their gifts.  I love it when the family are together.

Seasons of Green and Gold Suite is a lovely collection.  I must admit that I love the gold included with this designer series paper.  This suite can be found at stampinuo.com.au in the Online Store.

On page 22 in the Annual Catalogue ©2024 Stampin‘ Up!® you will find  some card templates that can give your a little inspiration.  Sometime when you have a creative block, these templates that help. This card below, is a card that came from one of the sketchers.

Mixed Florals Suite

Hi everyone.

A new brochure and Online Exclusives will be released next week.  It is always exciting as we wait for the new releases.  As a Demonstrator, there is a period prior to these releases where we can purchase them and play with them before they are available to the public.

Below are 2 cards made with Mixed Florals Suite which can be found at stampinup.com.au in the Online Store.  This suite is available from 7/1/2025.

The suite has a lovely spray of flowers which can be teamed with the Mixed Media Florals, which is part of the suite.

I stamped the spray of flowers on Basic White and coloured them in using Stampin Blends.  I found that the white background was a bit stark against the rest, so I colours it in with Misty Moonlight.  It makes a big difference.  The same applies to the card below. I used Soft Sea Foam.  I hope the lucky recipient loved her special card.
