Joy of Christmas

Hi everyone, 

Have you finished your Christmas cards yet.  Thank goodness,  mine are posted, that is always a good feeling. 

This card was made using the Joy of Christmas Suite from the Mini Catalogue, September - December ©2023 Stampin‘ Up!® on page 28.  I used a retired embossing folder.  This card that came together quite easily.  There is a little bit of stamping, a little bit of colouring in and blending, a little bit of dies cutting, a little but of designer series paper and a little bit of ribbon. 

Have you used Stampin Up products before. One of the reasons that I became a demonstrator/hobbyist was because I love the colour combos.  Stampin Up provides cardstock, ribbon, stamp pad, and matching designer series paper and sometimes matching glitz to enhance the cards.  If you are a bit pedantic with colour combinations Stampin Up is your friend. They certainly have my vote.

Joy of Christmas Suite

Hi everyone, 

A couple of weeks ago Mum and I played with these cards.  It was just fun thinking of different ways in which this dies and the work ‘Noel’ could be placed.  Different designer series paper can make a card quite different. Even how you present the word ‘Noel’.  I embossed it using gold, sparkly white, and white and also dies cut it.

Joy of Christmas

Hi everyone, 

This card was made using the Joy of Christmas Suite from the Mini Catalogue, September - December ©2023 Stampin‘ Up!® on page 28.  I used a retired embossing folder, but the music behind the word ‘Noel’ just seems to fit.  A card that came together quite easily.  Gold embossing always makes a difference on a card.  

Embossing is so much easier using the Heat Tool that can be found in the Annual Catalogue Page 136.  I have been creating cards for many years.  I have not so fond memories trying to emboss using the toaster or even under the grill  It was not a good experience.  I rarely did it.  The Heat Tool makes embossing so much easier.

Joy of Christmas Suite

Hi everyone, 

It is December.  Christmas cards are about to be posted, I hope. There are usually Christmas cards leftover from previous years.  So while I send out approximately 100 cards each year, I usually make lots more during the year.  Some are created from retired designer series paper and retired stamps while I try to make some new stamps, dies and designer series paper. 

Mum has gone home now.  We cruised around New Zealand late November together. So in the last 5 months we have many cards.  However I looked and this designer series paper and stamps and thought ‘ Oooooo, we need to create a couple of these, so Mum can make them and take them home.’  In the last couple of weeks, things became frantic, trying to fit everything in before we went on the cruise.
