Beautiful You

Lasr weekend, my kitchen table was covered with Stampin Up tools, cardstock and new creations.
My friend, Libby, and our daughter-in-law sat around the table on Friday swapping ideas and creating new cards.

My recent order included Beautiful You Stamp Set. I have been wanting to use this for awhile.  Whilst this stamp set was on my wish list, it took a while to purchase it.  Now I have it. Here are my examples:

I love the Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper Stack. Click here for details of the paper.

The first following cards are using the same Beautiful You Stamp Set with retired designer papers.

I think I am going to enjoy experimenting with this stamp set.

Here is a video of a new card and technique that I hope to try in the near future.

Guess what I received the last week.

My latest order arrived last week. It feels like Christmas when these parcels arrive. Amongst the goodies where some Christmas stamps and dies, the Country Living stamp set and Beautiful You stamp set.

Our kitchen table quickly became loaded with stamping items.  However between working 3 days a week, looking after the grand boys and trying to understand the workings of this blog, not many cards have been made.  However our son explained how this blog worked and showed me examples. Hopefully publishing a post will happen easily therefore there will be more.

Here are some cards that I’ve made this week.

The above two cards are using the Country Livin’ Stamp Set.  This is a great stamp set particularly for teenage boys and men. I think I’m going to love this Stamp Set.

This card was made using the Quilt Builder Framelits

The card was made using Merry Patterns stamp set.

Sometime soon I hope that I will be able to show photos of the individual supplies that I use.  Please bear with me.  I am learning lots.

Blessings

Hullo

My husband and I went to Ballarat for the weekend. A long-time friend turned 70.  It was great spending time with him and his wife. We have known this couple for over 45 years.  I was bridesmaid for her when they married, nearly 41 years ago.  It was lovely to leave the busy city world and drive amongst the gum trees.  Whilst we didn’t get off the freeway, I could see the gum trees. You see, I’m a country girl at heart. I spent the first 17 years of my life 150km north of Adelaide. The saying goes, ‘you can take the girl out of the country but you can not take the country out of the girl.’  So true I have been busy making a quilt for my brother and sister-in-law for their 60th.  I will post it when finished.  The quilt is taking much longer than I expected. Hopefully it will be finished before I go to Adelaide.  I have not made any cards for a week or so.  However below is a card I made for our grandson, who is Captain America mad, so Everyday Hero was the obvious birthday card.

Hi everyone

This is my very first post.  Please bear with me.  I am a crafty person. Over the years i have done ceramics, knitting, different types of cardmaking, patchworking and quilting. Patchwork and quilting feeds my soul.  So on a particularly bad day I need to feel fabric between my fingers.  My latest attempt at cardmaking is using Stampin Up products.  I love cardmaking because it can be completed quickly and the finished product can be admired immediately. I like to share my creativity with my family and friends.
This quilt is called The Carpenter Star or Star of Bethlehem.  My very close friend and colleague retired recently.  Staff from our department or her department wrote messages on calico which I added to the back.  Mrs J was tickled pink.

Stampin Up Butterfly Basic Stamp Set and Butterflies Thinlits is close to being my absolute favourite Stampin Up set.  I have made this card in a number of different colours. As you can see it also looks great as a sympathy card.  I hope you enjoy this journey with me.  Blessings
