Hi,
Our group of Stampin Up Demonstrators and Hobbyists, (Art of With Heart Team), are working through each colour currently available in the catalogues. This week is No. 12, Blueberry Bushell
I used the very popular Sunset Coast Bundle for this card. The Scenic Coast Designer Series Paper has been so popular that I have not purchased it yet. Maybe on the next delivery it will be my turn. I could have waited until I arrive at Mum’s this week, and used some of her paper. However I tried to create my own scene using Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight, Basic White and Basic Black. Also a little blending on white for the sea. The ‘Happy Birthday’ sentiment came from Boardwalk Fun Stamp Set, now retired.
These scenic cards always brings back childhood memories. As I have shared in previous posts, i have shared some of my memories of spending many, many holidays in Port Lincoln, S.A. Dad’s wish and aim of building his own boat, resulted in a canoe for us kids, and a cabin cruiser that grew as we did. Skiing and fishing was a favourite amongst our family as we grew up. It is certainly true that we remember the times spent as family more than the toys were given. We didn’t have our own sailing boat. In fact we didn't sail as such. However we saw many sailing regattas in Wallaroo, S.A. I think I remeber even being a part of them in our cabin cruiser. I might be wrong though.
Have you used Stampin Up products before. One of the reasons that I became a demonstrator/hobbyist was because I love the colour combos. Stampin Up provides cardstock, ribbon, stamp pad, and matching designer series paper and sometimes matching glitz to enhance the cards. If you are a
bit pedantic with colour combinations Stampin Up is your friend. They certainly have my vote.
