Hi everyone,
A group of Stampin Up Demonstrators and Hobbyists are working through each colour currently available in the catalogues. Cajun Craze is this week’s colour. This is not one of my favourite colours. In fact I don’t like orange, browns or greens much.
When I started thinking about this card, I discovered that I had card stock but no stamp pad. Why would someone buy card stock without the stamp pad. It seems a bit silly to me. I must rectify it soon.
I started with this first card below. I played around with the colours. I used Wild Wheat, Old Olive and Cajun Craze with Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper. I even found some ribbon to match. I have left a sentiment off because I couldn’t work out what to put on it and how. So it still bare. However, I really like the card as it is.
This next one is using Layers of Beauty. I used Calypso Coral and used a light layer up to the darkest layer. 3 layers in all. The last layer looks pretty close to Cajun Craze, don’t you think. I also used Soft Sea Foam for the leaves. Once again, I am pretty pleased with this one too.

Have you used Stampin Up products before. One of the reasons that I became a demonstrator/hobbyist was because I love the colour combos. Stampin Up provides cardstock, ribbon, stamp pad, and matching designer series paper and sometimes matching glitz to enhance the cards. If you are a bit pedantic with colour combinations Stampin Up is your friend. They certainly have my vote.
