Pansy Petal Stamp Set

Hi everyone,

I have my mum visiting at the moment.  She was suppose to go home two months ago.  However another lockdown happened in Melbourne.  We have just been released from lockdown in the last day or so.  So nice to be able to have family around again.  Anyway Mum has not been allowed back to Adelaide yet.

During Mum’s stay we have kept ourselves busy making cards.  Mum has nearly 100 to take home. She keeps saying that she will need another case to get them home.  Mum often says, ‘how about trying this one, or that one.’  These cards below began with this opener.  We actually made a similar card over two years ago, when Mum visited before.

Below are my examples.  When trying a new card or and old forgotten card, I like to use retired products, then eventually making it in currently products. Hence the reason there is so many.

I made this by:

My Card Base is 5 7/8 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4, or half of a sheet of Stampin Up cardstock.  Top card is Poppy Parade

Layer 1 – 4 x 5 5/8 (Top card is Old Olive)

Layer 2 – 3 3/4 x 5 (Basic White)

DSP and cardstock diagonal pieces – 3 3/4 x 3 cut at a diagonal. Poppy DSP and Old Olive.   Be careful when you cut the DSP.  Just be aware if it needs to go one way.

Sentiment insert – 2 1/2 x 3 3/4 (Basic White), 2 3/4 x 4 (Poppy Parade)

Glue Layer 1 and 2 together.  Don’t put this on the card just yet.  A piece of ribbon is attached to this section when the rest of the layers have been glued on.   Glue on the side and bottom of the diagonal piece.   Cardstock or Old Olive goes on first and under the DSP, the long side along the bottom.  I used Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper, in the last two which can be found on page 28 in the Annual Catalogue ©2020 Stampin' Up!®

Next stamp on the White Insert.  I used Love What You Do Stamp Set which is retired.  I also used Pansy Patch Stamp Set which can be found on page 29 in the Annual Catalogue ©2020 Stampin' Up!® and Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set found on 93, (the Christmas tree).

Glue cardstock or Poppy Parade to Basic White with sentiment on it.   This slips into the top of the card.  Don’t glue the top of the triangles, or you won’t be able to slip this piece in.

I placed ribbon around the layers before placing the, on the card.

Have you used Stampin Up products before. One of the reasons that I became a demonstrator/hobbyist was because I love the colour combos.  Stampin Up provide Cardstock, ribbon, stamp pad, and matching designer series paper and sometimes matching glitz to enhance the cards.  If you are a bit pedantic with colour combinations Stampin Up is your friend. They certainly have my vote.

The current Annual Catalogue is available on this blog.  If you would like a Catalogue posted to you, it will cost $9-00.  That can be deducted from the next order.

If you like this blog, and like learning a little about our family traditions or our lives while I inform you about the makings of the cards or quilts that I make, can you indicate by following me, (on the right hand side). Blogging is something new and I am still trying to get a handle on it.
