Free as a Bird

Hi everyone

I made this card up for class.  As usual I messaged my mum and our daughter to ask their opinion.  Her response was ‘too yellow.’  So I went to the drawing board or work table again and came up the card below.

The first card was created using Old Olive, Whisper White and So Saffron Cardstock.  I used Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper. Olive Olive, Crumb cake and So Saffron Blends were used to colour the birds. The sentiment came from a retired stamp Picture Perfect, I think.

I have a container of sentiments stamps and cut.  All those little strips of leftover Whisper White, I stamped and stamped and stamped. No little bits left. However, I have a container of diferent sentiments that can be used on different cards.  I will do the same for the coloured Cardstock leftovers too.  Just think of gold or silver sentiments of black. That will be stunning, and to think I’ll have a supply of them ready.  It is amazing how excited we can get over a container of little bits of cardstock.

All of the products used in this card can be purchased from Stampin Up. If you live in Australia and you would like to place an order over $250-00 (before shipping) you will receive 10% in Stampin Up Rewards.  Click here to place your order.
